Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen, whose original name is "Xaman-Hu" (waters of the north), is living proof of the Maya civilization. It is located on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, 60 kilometers south of Cancun. Playa del Carmen is famous for it smiles of fine sandy beaches and crystalline waters.
For those who love fishing, this is the perfect place for them, since Playa del Carmen has a long fishing tradition, and it has the best conditions for this sport. One of the main reasons why you can not fail to come to Playa del Carmen, is the abundant presence of archaeological buildings of the Mayan civilization, such as: Chichén-Itzá, Tulum and Uxmal In all these places, you can visit the magnificent temples, plunge in full into the Mayan culture.
Our School has moved recently to a beautiful new premises in December 2008. A campus with classrooms, residence, restaurant, terrace and pool.
The campus is located in downtown Playa del Carmen, just four blocks from the beach. So upon completion of classes, students can go together to the beach to sunbathe or drink a Piña Colada while they review what was learned in class. The school has six classrooms with air conditioning and a beautiful terrace on the roof of the building which has an incredible view of Playa del Carmen. The complex also has a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and small snacks. In the afternoons and evenings students can choose from a wide selection of extracurricular activities such as:
- Sports: beach volleyball, beach soccer, tennis, basketball and snorkeling
- Courses: Mexican food, salsa or yoga
- Sprachcaffe also organizes festivals and events: BBQ, tequila and mezcal, joint dinners, cocktail evenings, cinema, billiards, bowling and short trips.
